Ending the war, closing Gitmo, legal trials rather than tribunals but killing more. Some are upset by the lack of capture for interrogation purposes, but if the captive gets an attorney and court date, how much interrogating can happen effectively? Intelligence is tough enough to come by, but if you can't compel the guys with the info to talk, I guess these are the results we will get. I have to give credit to the Administration and CIA and military for stepping up the surveillance and tracking of terrorism leadership. Perhaps they don't need the extra tidbits of info they could obtain. I suspect they actually could use the information, but the instability here produces the kill first, worry later mentality. I am honestly a little uncertain about how to look at this. At least something is happening.
