First Sunday Worship

Today at Suite Living, formerly Comforts of Home, which is an assisted care senior facility, I delivered an Easter message. I will be out of town next week, so I delivered this message early. The message, First Sunday Worship, looks at the usual Easter scriptures from the point of view that it was a day celebrating the first Sunday worship services. Beginning in Genesis and into Exodus, we see how God established the day of rest and then the Sabbath day in the law. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and redeemed us from the burden of the law to a life in the grace of God. We see in the Easter Scriptures the first worship of the risen Christ, the first Easter service, the first communion service and the first Sunday evening service.
